Will definitely rent again
The process to order, receive, and return the wifi unit was so easy. We brought our own portable charger, but it was wonderful that they supply you with one for the unit as well. It lasted most of the day, but we would have to charge it around 7 if we were going out to dinner.
The service never dropped out, it was incredibly helpful for when we got lost, had to quickly find the right train, etc. A life saver. Much cheaper than using international roaming on our phones. We didn’t use it heavily so we didn’t even use half of the included data. I will definitely use this service the next time I’m in Japan

Just what we needed!
Thanks so much. Everything was very easy, from ordering online, picking up at the airport, using the device, and sending it back. I also appreciated being confident that if there was any problem or question, I could speak to someone in English.
WifiBuddy was a perfect solution for two of us travelling together with multiple devices and it worked like a charm. The range of the WifiBuddy was also great - extending over our two rooms or even from the hallway when our rooms were farther apart in one house!
I hope I can find such dependable service in other countries when I travel! Thanks for setting the bar.

Just great, every time
This was the fourth time I rented a pocket WiFi from Japan WifiBuddy and I never ever had anything going wrong. The service is absolutely amazing! I would never try any other rental company and my advice to anyone who reads this in search of the right rental company is: Don’t look any further, you just found the best.

Ordering was easy and the WiFi package was waiting for me at our hotel when we arrived. Setting up was simplicity itself and never lost its signal over the 12 days I was there. I can't recommend Japan WiFi buddy highly enough

Specifications
- Requires a SIM Unlocked device with esim capability. If your device is locked, please contact your carrier to unlock it.
- We include thorough instructions, via email, through our website and with customer service.
- These are data-only SIM Cards. Carrier-based voice calls and text messaging are NOT supported. However, data-based messaging and telephony solutions such as Skype, Facetime, Whatsapp, Line etc. are supported.
- To avoid provider validation complications, in some cases when users order far ahead of their actual trip, we will send a confirmation email, with a separate QR code later on, closer to the departure date.
