I rented the diamond WifiBuddy from 9/29-10/12. It was mailed directly to my hotel and it was given to me by staff the moment I checked in. It included clear instructions, a portable battery to charge it on the go, and a return envelope. We never had issues with WiFi access. It worked perfectly. Only had two times where it was connected but no access. All I had to do was restart the device and it worked fine again. Battery lasted early morning until about 5pm. Then we would just connect it to the provided portable battery. They also email you to let you know when it has been shipped. It's also one of the most affordable options available.

Was awesome! Except would only intermittently hold a charge for the entire day. Otherwise it was a great internet connection to have while on the go.

Having the Japan WiFi Buddy hotspot made internet access a breeze. Being able to carry your internet connection with you is the ultimate in connectivity. Having the ability to get directions, finding restaurants and hotels, and looking up Japan Rail and other transportation schedules made traveling easy. When traveling in Japan this is a must. Besides all of the advantages afforded by having a WiFi hotspot, the team that supports you is superb.

This is my second time to use WifiBuddy and again, it was fantastic. The device was waiting at our hotel in Tokyo when we arrived, easy to use, and never let us down. We were a family of 5 and used it constantly. The extra battery pack came in handy on our long days travelling. I also really appreciated the service from the company - when I had questions before leaving Australia, they were always ready to help with immediate responses online/via email. Very impressed! Highly recommended.
