We had great service everywhere we went in Japan (even along the shinkasen line). The instructions were clear about picking up and dropping off. Well worth it!

We were impressed with how well our WifiBuddy worked for our 2-week trip to Japan. We were concerned with the process of picking it up at the post office inside the airport and mailing it back, but it couldn't have gone any smoother. The included setup instructions were very clear and simple. Also, one tip, if you are planning long days out and about (10-12 hours), and want to stay connected, take an extra battery pack to ensure our WifiBuddy (and phones!) are always charged up.

We rented the wifibuddy on our recent 8 day trip to Japan. We found it very easy to pick up at the airport from the post office in Narita. When we got on the train into Tokyo I turned it on and it was so easy to connect our two phones to it & hey presto we had internet. We travelled around quite a bit on our trip and didnt loose connection once. I would advise you take the charger with you as if you're out for a long day the battery won't last, but a charger is provided so its not a problem. Leads to charge the buddy and the charger are provided, theres also a handy little pouch to keep the wifi buddy i. Posting it back was also very easy. We just put everything in the envelope provided and posted before midnight on our last day, we just popped it in the postbox by our hotel. Japan is not an easy place to get wifi, especially if youre travelling around so this device really was a godsend, I highly recommend it.

I had great connection throughout my trip. I was still connected in the metro and also in the outskirts of the city!

We looked at a couple of pocket wi-fi companies and settled on Japan Wifi-Buddy because they made it really simple to understand the process. Making the reservation online was easy, and the customer service team was communicative with us on directions and what to do, including up to the end, where we sent an email the morning that we were leaving Japan to ask about where to drop off in Haneda Airport. Price was very reasonable, about 10 bucks a day U.S. Pocket Wi-fi lasted about 7-8 hours, and then we used the back up which lasted for the rest of the day. For us, that meant we left our place around 9 and we didn't get back home until about 8. Plenty of Wi-fi! It was all very easy and convenient.
