Having never left North America before, Tre moved to Japan in 2009, nervously looking forward to experiencing life in a new country. Growing up in Toronto and Los Angeles, he had always been surrounded by Japanese influence, so he knew there would be a lot to look forward to in Japan.

Things like amazing food, beautiful ancient culture, and all kinds of interesting relationships with people from all over the world.

But something he realized after getting here was that he was not enjoying the utter lack of accessible and secure wifi throughout the country!

After doing some research and making a few wifi rentals himself, he decided that there would be a good opportunity for a convenient wifi rental business run by someone who speaks English natively, and offers different routers and networks than all the other guys.

Working alongside some Japanese tech partners, he was able to discover what the other companies couldn't offer; better prices and better service options. So we picked up a couple of routers and started renting them out to our friends traveling to Japan.

We started with 3 WifiBuddies back in early 2014, and we're now in the hundreds, all thanks to our beloved clients!

Tre has also discovered that he has a passion for educating and training people, equipping and enabling them to "escape" from the common traps of employment in Japan: long hours of low productivity and little freedom which lead to depression, broken families and a generally terrible situation for many who get caught up in that way of living.

One of our goals as we grow is to help as many people as we can to live life to the fullest by working together in a positive and empowering environment.

As we continue to grow, we are also continuing to explore new business relationships with other service providers. We push hard each day to keep you online with a smile during your time in Japan!

If you have any questions about our service, or about Japan in general, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
