We recently rented the Diamond
We recently rented the Diamond pocket WiFi for 16days and could not fault it. It never dropped out,never slowed or glitched with 4 heavy users pretty much continuously connected. Would highly recommend Japan WiFi Buddy to anyone looking for pocket WiFi in Japan .

A must have for your Tokyo visit
Can't emphasize enough how much our pocket WiFi saved us from wandering around lost in the prefectures of Tokyo and wasting valuable holiday time. Picking up and dropping off the japanwifibuddy was also incredibly easy using the post office at Haneda airport. Thanks japanwifibuddy! 10/10

Excellent little Buddy
Got a pocket Wifi for my cruise around Japan. It worked well at all the ports except for Busan. On cruise days at sea, there was no cell signal so no Wifi. Overall, a very cost effective way to get WiFi in Japan. I would definitely recommend it and will use it again on my next Japan trip. I just wish there were a similar service in Europe.

  • Requires a SIM Unlocked device with esim capability. If your device is locked, please contact your carrier to unlock it.
  • We include thorough instructions, via email, through our website and with customer service.
  • These are data-only SIM Cards. Carrier-based voice calls and text messaging are NOT supported. However, data-based messaging and telephony solutions such as Skype, Facetime, Whatsapp, Line etc. are supported.
  • To avoid provider validation complications, in some cases when users order far ahead of their actual trip, we will send a confirmation email, with a separate QR code later on, closer to the departure date.
