A friend of mine recommended Japan WIFI Buddy and we could not be more pleased. We opted to have it delivered to our hotel and it was there when we checked in and we did not even have to ask for it. It came with a self-addressed return envelope which we gave to the concierge when we checked out. Could not have been easier. The WIFI device came with a backup power stick which was very helpful a couple times. The device worked great and was very fast wherever we went. I highly recommend this company. Well done.

I purchased the Diamond plan to be used with a couple different devices through our 10+ days in Japan. The hotspot came well packaged, and with convenient pouches and an additional rechargeable battery, along with clear instructions and an envelope for return once finished with the device. The hotspot signal remained strong, even in some rural areas, and connections never dropped. However, we did have a problem with our first unit. It never fully charged, and we suspected that it was a problem with the charging cable or port. The JapanWifiBuddy team were quick to respond and figure out what the best solution was, which was to express mail a replacement to our next hotel. The second unit worked flawlessly, and we figured out the it was the cable that was broken for the first unit. I would definitely rent from this company again on any future visits to Japan. Even though we have T-mobile roaming, not having to worry about wifi speeds and internet connection made the journey so much smoother.

We rented the Platinum unit ahead of our trip to Japan and it was waiting for us at our hotel reception. It delivered everything it promised and we found the unit life backed up by the standing charger more than adequate for all of our needs across 2 devices. The charger was also useful for topping up our iPhones. Very satisfied and highly recommended.

One of your travel necessities going to Japan is a pocket wifi. This is even more important if you’re hoping from one place to another, navigating around town, subway, and guidance overall in the country. Wifibuddy did niot dissapoint. There were 6 of us and internittently log in everyday and we travel between Tokyo to Hiroshima and we got wifi coverage.
