The battery lasted as well as could be expected for all day use but it charges very quickly. The service strength and speeds were very good, even in the middle of Tokyo. The return procedure was very easy and all set up for you to minimize the hassle.

The device worked great throughout our trip. Also, the pickup and return process was very easy. When I sent questions in, the customer service was responsive, too.

I was very pleased with my Wi-Fi buddy for the most part. It was easy to pick up in the airport, they give you a pre-paid envelope so it was very easy to drop back off when we were done and the instructions were very clear. I loved the fact that they gave us an extra charger because we sure did need it! The WiFi would die about every afternoon. Which I can’t really say if that is normal or not since this was my first time using one. However, the people we were with said they used had used one the last time they had gone to Japan and never had to recharge it as much as we had to. Just a small inconvenience at times but nothing that could be fixed. Other than that it worked great and was helpful with navigating our way around and using google translate! I will definitely use again.

We rented the Diamond WifiBuddy and it was one of the most useful tools of our trip in Japan. We were using two phones, a laptop, and a tablet throughout the week and never had any issues with signal or speed. Our only complaint was that the battery died earlier than we would have liked, but WifiBuddy included an extra battery bank and got us through some of our longer usage days.

The air pocket died a couple of times and had to turned it off and on. Other than was good.
