Excellent Product
We used the Diamond WifiBuddy on our recent 2 week holiday in Japan. The download speed is really fast and reliable. Really easy to pick up and return at the post office at Narita Airport too. Everything comes nicely packaged in a handy carry pouch.
Great for families as we were able to let our 2 young kids stream movies when they got bored on long train trips.

Seamless
We got the 'diamond' pocket WiFi. It was at the hotel when we arrived. Easy instructions and well packaged. Worked perfectly from Tokyo to Kyoto to Hiroshima ...
Battery did last less than 24 hours so external battery pack (supplied) was needed sometimes.
We did use hotels WiFi and in some restaurants, but most of our travels we needed the pocket WiFi - especially for navigation and translation apps. It always worked fine.
Good value for 2 simultaneous users.
So easy to drop off at airport in Fukuoka too.
Would definitely recommend this device and service.

Excellent Product
Used the WiFi buddy on a recent trip to Tokyo, Kyoto, Kamakura and Hakone. The device worked perfectly and lasted all day on the battery. It made travelling between the sightseeing attractions really easy and kept the family back home up to date with the trip. Flawless pickup from the airport. I would recommend the device to any traveller and would happily use again. 5 star service.

10/10 would rent from them
10/10 would rent from them again! Our pocket wifi range was very good that even up in the mountains, it worked perfectly. I compared it to other people's pocket wifi that they rented and ours was the best! It didn't overheat at all the time we were using it and we used it a lot. They were pretty flexible and we got to extend the time renting without any problems. The pick up and return are easily instructed out. The customer service responded quickly and we had no problems on our trip thanks to Wifi Buddy! Thank you again!

- Requires a SIM Unlocked device with esim capability. If your device is locked, please contact your carrier to unlock it.
- We include thorough instructions, via email, through our website and with customer service.
- These are data-only SIM Cards. Carrier-based voice calls and text messaging are NOT supported. However, data-based messaging and telephony solutions such as Skype, Facetime, Whatsapp, Line etc. are supported.
- To avoid provider validation complications, in some cases when users order far ahead of their actual trip, we will send a confirmation email, with a separate QR code later on, closer to the departure date.
