It was so convenient! I had some spotty WiFi service in certain areas but overall it was great! Awesome customer service as well! Ri was so helpful! I will definitely use WiFi buddy again.

Some times it did not charge well. In the morning it showed it was fully charged then about 30 minutes or so I had to use the extra battery pack.

We had a great experience using our Wi-Fi Buddy. Coverage and speed were very good even in the underground in Tokyo and the included rechargeable battery was a must. It was very easy to use and light enough to carry in a backpack. It was waiting for us at our first hotel and we had no issues posting it back in the provided envelope. Very good overall.

This was the first time I rented, or even used a portable wifi hotspot. Japan Wifi Buddy was so easy to rent and use. From the super simple instructions on their website to the clearly stated and easy instructions, this was a no-worries wifi. What hooked me initally was their website and their very easy to follow rental instructions. I loved the option to pick up the wifi hotspot at my hotel in Tokyo. It's great that they supply you with a back up battery and NEW cables for charging. The wifi unit was very easy to use. I had one little difficulty in figuring out how to get the "power off" option to appear on the screen. I just kept pushing the power button and eventually it would appear. The wifi internal battery lasted from 8 until 3pm (with 2 smart phones connected) and the back up battery took care of the rest of the day. So we never had it run out of juice. It might be nice if the little pouch the hotspot goes into had a small hole in it so the cable from the battery to the hotspot could be connected wtihout having to take the hotspot out of the pouch. but that's minor. As far as service is concerned we had absolutely NO dropped connections during our time in Tokyo. Returning the unit was a BREEZE! just popped everything into the provided envelope and handed it to the hotel concierge. Done! Next time I"m in Tokyo I'll definitely be using Japan Wifi Buddy again!!!

We rented the pocket WiFi for two weeks and agreed renting it through Wifi Buddy was a great decision! It was very efficient-there were times when the battery ran out early but the back up battery provided us service through the the evening.
