Wow! Wi-Fi Buddy is great!
I rented a Wi-Fi Buddy on a recent trip to Tokyo because it would be cheaper than using my cell carrier's international plan. It could not be easier! It was waitimy for me when I checked into my hotel and when I got to my room, I opened the mailer and it could noit be any easier! The portable Wi-Fi was charged, the instructions were clear and easily understood and it was SO easy to connect my cell phone to the WiFi. The signal was great where ever I went and I never had a problem with losing a signal (except in some of the subways... to be expected when one is underground!). I would definitely recommend Wi-Fi Buddy to anyone going to Tokyo and I will definitely use Wi-Fi Buddy again, the next time I go to Tokyo!

Fantastic!
Everything was great. Great price, easy pick up and drop off, ever had a signal drop (Osaka, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Tokyo), and came with a powerblock for recharges. Was really nice to be able to be connected throughout my trip. Thanks!

Fast and Reliable
Very cheap for the price and speed. Used all the way from Hakata to Tokyo and had no problems. Had a 100gb limit and only used 50gb with 2 people for 3 weeks.

  • Requires a SIM Unlocked device with esim capability. If your device is locked, please contact your carrier to unlock it.
  • We include thorough instructions, via email, through our website and with customer service.
  • These are data-only SIM Cards. Carrier-based voice calls and text messaging are NOT supported. However, data-based messaging and telephony solutions such as Skype, Facetime, Whatsapp, Line etc. are supported.
  • To avoid provider validation complications, in some cases when users order far ahead of their actual trip, we will send a confirmation email, with a separate QR code later on, closer to the departure date.
