Effortless Pocket WiFi Rental

I got Japan WifiBuddy based on a friend's recommendation, and I'm glad I did. The unit provided WiFi throughout my visit in Japan, and the plan allowed everyone in my travel group to remain connected the whole time. The pickup at Narita Airport was easy, and the service provides a prepaid envelope to drop off at the post office when you depart. The extra battery provided enough power for the unit even after a full day of heavy use by multiple users.

Great value and convenient.

Used my WifiBuddy for two weeks, had zero problems. Picking it up and returning was simple. 10GB of high speed data that refreshed every three days was more than enough. Excellent value compared to other internet services for a tourist. Service was somewhat spotty outside major urban areas, but that was expected based on the product description.

Requires a SIM Unlocked device with esim capability. If your device is locked, please contact your carrier to unlock it.
We include thorough instructions, via email, through our website and with customer service.
These are data-only SIM Cards. Carrier-based voice calls and text messaging are NOT supported. However, data-based messaging and telephony solutions such as Skype, Facetime, Whatsapp, Line etc. are supported.
To avoid provider validation complications, in some cases when users order far ahead of their actual trip, we will send a confirmation email, with a separate QR code later on, closer to the departure date.
