Our pocket wi-fi was waiting at our hotel for our check in in Tokyo. We got the diamond package and all instructions are in English so it’s a snap to get yourself up and ready to connect. We brought it everywhere and always had service... even at the summit of Mount Fuji!! Once we were ready to leave, we put everything the the pre paid envelope that came with our package and gave it to the hotel conceierge to mail. SO easy and convenient and so reasonably priced! I would (and have already) recommend Japan Wifi buddy to anyone travelling to Japan so you are able to use your own phone and stay connected!

It was overall great but the battery life could be longer.

This is my third or fourth time using this company and I was completely satisfied like all my previous trips. My family and I used two Diamond WifiBuddy's for a month in Japan and they were superb! The pocket WiFi was a lifesaver while I was in Japan. It worked everywhere I went, including The lower platform trains. Never experienced any loss of reception, only when the device died or became hot. The price was well worth it also. Would reccomend to anyone.

Despite a small allowance of 170MB for the most basic package, connections remained stable even beyond the throttled speed throughout our one week stay in Kyoto and Tokyo. It comes with a small power bank for extra energy needs so plus points to that too. Customer service representatives were also prompt in replying to my queries instantaneously regarding Japan WiFiBuddy. Overall, very satisfied with the use of your product.

Very easy process to get and return. The wifi worked great throughout all our travels in Japan and was very useful. Battery life on the wifi was low but with the extra battery provided it was never an issue. Would definitely use again when in Japan. Arrigato gozaimasu!

This was a fabulous service and the wi fi was excellent it made our trip much easier and having the charger included was an unexpected bonus. Wi fi was delivered to our hotel and we posted it back at the end of our holiday. An efficient excellent service.

Had a Good Experience with Japan WifiBuddy when I was i Japan for 2 weeks, it was easy to pick up the package at the post office at Narita Airport. We also got a preadressed return package to send the unit back with, we packed it and delivered it to our hotell staff when we left after 2 weeks. The unit itself worked flawlessy and we got a powerpack with it for long days out in the city. All in all a great service, would use them again for my next visit to Japan.

We were happy with the WiFi buddy. It was far faster than the hitel’s free WiFi and was a huge help to navigate Japan’s cities and transit systems. I wish the battery life was better.

This is my second time using Japan WiFi Buddy, I often visit Japan and I have found that this company are reliable, fast and are always there if you need help. I have travelled all around Japan and found that the signal stays strong wherever I am, whether its in the city or more rural areas. The extra battery pack was a real life saver. The only thing is that the device can get a little hot, however I was using it during Japan's heatwave but I still had no real issues other than the heat. I will definitely order again when I return to Japan. Thank you!

I booked a silver wifi buddy for a 10 day trip around Japan (business and pleasure), and it was on of the best (and modest) investments of my trip. The staff were quick to answer questions by email before my arrival. Pick up was exactly as stated at the airport and very simple. It worked immediately and then worked consistently throughout my trip. I travelled mostly in major towns (Kyoto, Nagoya, Tokyo, etc) as well as to some more remote places (the summit of Mt Fuji). It worked everywhere, allowing me to video chat with family back home and send all the pictures and videos I wanted to share. Great for maps to find my way and train schedules. I am so glad I spent the money on this. I was lucky and got a device that always lasted the entire day, so I never needed to use my back up battery. However, the fact that it was included and always available meant I never held back on what I wanted to surf or send. GREAT GREAT system and reliable product. I will definitely use them again when I return to Japan.

It worked perfectly for the entire time I was in Japan. It was very simple and efficient to use. I would recommend everyone should get this device while staying in Japan where even at Haneda international airport doesn’t offer you WiFi even though it says available. The only part I wasn’t super happy was that they charged me extra $12.95 for some unknown reasons. Overall WiFi buddy definitely made my week-long stay in Japan worthwhile.

Reception and speed were excellent !! The pocket Japan WiFiBuddy worked better than the Hotel WiFi connections !! Battery lasted about 12 hours each day and the extra external battery was more than sufficient for us to complete our days with great connections !! Price & value were excellent!! Highly recommend

I have used Japan Wifi Buddy for the past few years, and their service is stellar -- both customer service AND wifi service. Our most recent trip created challenges for us, and the customer service was incredibly helpful land flexible about getting a device to my wife when she arrived. Then, the diamond WifiBuddy was the most reliable device I've used in Japan. The only time we didn't get service was in the mountains of Toyama during a storm -- I don't think ANY service works there though, so I'm not surprised. Every other location we went we had reliable service for my whole family. I will gladly continue to use Japan WifiBuddy on our yearly trips to visit family in Japan.

We ordered the Wifi Buddy for our Japan trip and it made the entire experience so much better. It had fantastic coverage everywhere, including the summit of Mt Fuji, and was easy to use and reliable. Wholeheartedly recommended if you are planning a visit.
