Japan wifi buddy
Was really handy. Battery actually lasted really long. If I disconnected during the day it was sometimes hard to reconnect without holding the device next to my phone in areas with many signals. And it didn't work everywhere like hills or theme parks. But overall very useful and decent signal and speed.

Super easy
Works like a charm. Lasts 75% of the day, not an issue with the included battery. Had no issues wigh coverage during my 35 day trip. My only complaint is the lack of GPS underground on the subway, but that's to be expected, that's more the service than the device itself. Highly recommended

Wifi Buddy makes communication so easy in Japan
I rented a Wifi Buddy for 2 weeks while I was in Japan. I needed to communicate frequently with my husband who was ill and back in New Zealand. Everything about renting a Wifi Buddy is excellent. The website was informative and easy to use. It was available for me at my first hotel. It got really good and consistent reception, even when I was in quite isolated national parks and rural areas in Hokkaido. It was easy to use, with very clear instructions. And returning it at the Post Office at Narita airport was so straight forward. It is great value for money and a must-have for travelling in Japan, especially in rural areas.

WiFi buddy
The wifi buddy was good to have for our trip to Japan. The only issue was that the wifi buddy would die fast. Didn't last as long as I thought it would. The power block we received came in handy so that helped.

- Requires a SIM Unlocked device with esim capability. If your device is locked, please contact your carrier to unlock it.
- We include thorough instructions, via email, through our website and with customer service.
- These are data-only SIM Cards. Carrier-based voice calls and text messaging are NOT supported. However, data-based messaging and telephony solutions such as Skype, Facetime, Whatsapp, Line etc. are supported.
- To avoid provider validation complications, in some cases when users order far ahead of their actual trip, we will send a confirmation email, with a separate QR code later on, closer to the departure date.
