Worked Perfectly
It was waiting at my hotel when I arrived in Tokyo. Travelling all around Japan for two weeks, it didn't miss a beat. Easy to use and fast speeds, meant that I never had an issue with it. Travelling made easy!

A must for foreigners travelling in Japan
Excellent and zero service issues. Whether it was in the Tokyo metro or speeding thru tunnel on the Shinkansen - service was perfect and high speed. I had it for 10 days, but needed an extension due to typhoon Hagibis - no problem. High quality customer service. From ease of pick up at NRT airport to return via pre-stamped envelope from WiFi Buddy’s team.

Worked great on my trip
Worked great on my trip to Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. Rarely had any connection issues, and when I did it was due to being deep underground or very far inside an old building, so that is to be expected. I highly recommend cheating both the device and the extra battery every night, and then just keeping the device plugged into the battery when you head out for the day. This will prevent your device from dying midday, and it will last around 8-10 hours or so. Without keeping it plugged into the external battery, you run the risk of it just powering down midday without warning.

  • We include thorough instructions, via email, through our website and with customer service.
  • These are data-only SIM Cards. Carrier-based voice calls and text messaging are NOT supported. However, data-based messaging and telephony solutions such as Skype, Facetime, Whatsapp, Line etc. are supported.
  • To avoid provider validation complications, in some cases when users order far ahead of their actual trip, we will send a confirmation email, with a separate QR code later on, closer to the departure date.
