Good connection, fussy device
Internet speed was great — but the hot spot liked to turn off periodically, and wouldn't hold a charge. We had to keep it connected to the extra battery almost constantly.

Never let us down
This really is a great service. Clear, simple instructions, great speed and signal. The only time we couldn't get a signal was in the very most remote parts of Hokkaido. I'll definitely get a WiFi Buddy next time I'm in Japan.

High Speed Internet Access in Tokyo
My WiFi Buddy worked as advertised. I had good reception at LTE speed for most of my trip. Only draw back was the battery life on my unit, I had to constantly recharge the unit.

Specifications
  • Requires a SIM Unlocked device with esim capability. If your device is locked, please contact your carrier to unlock it.
  • We include thorough instructions, via email, through our website and with customer service.
  • These are data-only SIM Cards. Carrier-based voice calls and text messaging are NOT supported. However, data-based messaging and telephony solutions such as Skype, Facetime, Whatsapp, Line etc. are supported.
  • To avoid provider validation complications, in some cases when users order far ahead of their actual trip, we will send a confirmation email, with a separate QR code later on, closer to the departure date.
