Would use again
Prompt, helpful customer service. Flexible with length of rental even when dealing with typhoon. Easy to pick up at airport and mail back. Happy with battery life, didn’t need the backup battery provided. Happy with quality and speed of connection.

Worked great and really appreciated
Worked great and really appreciated that a charger was provided. Since we were out and about all day, I needed the charger. The process was made so easy. I picked up the package at the airport coming in to Japan and dropped it off at the airport post office when we left the country. So convenient! When the typhoon caused our stay to be extended, I sent an email and was able to use the WiFi for another few days...life saver! Thank you. Highly recommend!!

Easy Process and Great Service
We originally rented the WifiBuddy for about 16 days, and it was easy to pick up at the airport and get running. We depended on it for all sorts of things, and battery life wasn't an issue as long as we charged it and the power bank each night. Our flight got cancelled due to Typhoon Hagibis and customer service was quick to respond about extending our rental for a few days, which was no issue. We'll definitely be back to Japan and will use this service again.

Specifications
  • Requires a SIM Unlocked device with esim capability. If your device is locked, please contact your carrier to unlock it.
  • We include thorough instructions, via email, through our website and with customer service.
  • These are data-only SIM Cards. Carrier-based voice calls and text messaging are NOT supported. However, data-based messaging and telephony solutions such as Skype, Facetime, Whatsapp, Line etc. are supported.
  • To avoid provider validation complications, in some cases when users order far ahead of their actual trip, we will send a confirmation email, with a separate QR code later on, closer to the departure date.
