Lifesaver!
I honestly don't know what I would have done without my Buddy! It allowed us to navigate through Japan's ultra confusing rail system. But it also allowed me to stay in touch with my family back at home through text and Facetime, so it made the trip away from home much more bearable. I have rented it for all four of my trips, and have recommended all my friends who go to Japan to do so as well. It's a MUST in Japan!!!

Well worth it!
Very easy process! The package was waiting for me at the hotel when I arrived and while we were there I was able to use the wifi without any issues. Returning it was just as easy!

First class
Everything was excellent. Ty replied promptly to emails and customer service was first class, including after airline changed flights to different airport. Still arrived exactly as promised with customary world-beating Japanese efficiency at the Haneda Post Office. Excellent signal and battery life and additional Anker-style charger was invaluable. Really enhanced our trip to Japan - as non-Japanese speakers we could access translations anywhere, even up in the mountains. Would recommend to anyone without reservation and would definitely use WifiBuddy again. Many thanks!

Specifications
  • Requires a SIM Unlocked device with esim capability. If your device is locked, please contact your carrier to unlock it.
  • We include thorough instructions, via email, through our website and with customer service.
  • These are data-only SIM Cards. Carrier-based voice calls and text messaging are NOT supported. However, data-based messaging and telephony solutions such as Skype, Facetime, Whatsapp, Line etc. are supported.
  • To avoid provider validation complications, in some cases when users order far ahead of their actual trip, we will send a confirmation email, with a separate QR code later on, closer to the departure date.
