Seamless experiences
I can’t get over how convenient this service was. It was easy to pick up the package at the post office at Narita, as the email provided a handy map. It was simple to use (had English instructions) and came with a backup battery so even when it died around dinner time every day, I could just plug it in and it’d last the rest of the night. Our speeds were great, two people power used it full time and it never throttled. At the end of the trip, I just dropped it off at the same post office at Narita before I went through security and that was it! I would highly recommend WifiBuddy, it made my trip so much easier.

Japan WiFi Buddy Awesome!
The wifi buddy was very helpful and allowed for us to navigate Japan without needing to get a sim, which saved us a lot of money. Although we did have a bit of issues with it turning off on us, I would still use it again next time I go to Japan.

Another Perfect Experience
This is the second time I have used Japan WifiBuddy while in Japan. The process is simple from pick up to return. The service is reliable. They provide everything you need, even a back-up battery pack. I will definitely use them again. And I will definitely recommend them to anyone who asks.

Awesome WiFi
We had exactly zero problems with the WiFi buddy. I highly recommend it. It even worked so much better than our hotel's WiFi that we gave up on the hotel's network after the first day. Pick up and return were extremely easy as well. Everything you need comes in a nice little package. Definitely use WiFi Buddy!

  • Requires a SIM Unlocked device with esim capability. If your device is locked, please contact your carrier to unlock it.
  • We include thorough instructions, via email, through our website and with customer service.
  • These are data-only SIM Cards. Carrier-based voice calls and text messaging are NOT supported. However, data-based messaging and telephony solutions such as Skype, Facetime, Whatsapp, Line etc. are supported.
  • To avoid provider validation complications, in some cases when users order far ahead of their actual trip, we will send a confirmation email, with a separate QR code later on, closer to the departure date.
