Worked very well, however, was very very slow at some points even when just trying to open a webpage. Other than that it was a great pocket Wi-Fi.

Seriously couldnt have traveled Japan without my lil wifi buddy. It was super easy to use and reliable. The staff were really helpful and prompt in their responses.

18 days in Japan and the wifi buddy was an invaluable asset to the holiday. Wifi Buddy delivered to our hotel when we arrived in Japan and we used it constantly. Easy to use and the additional battery was extremely useful. Packaging to return wifi Buddy was included and we posted the wifi buddy at the airport as we left Japan. I would highly recommend Japan Wifi Buddy.

Worked great everywhere we went for 2 weeks, extra battery was nice... and best part was it was at hotel when we arrived and able to drop off at hotel with provided return envelope at departure. Would use this company again and highly recommend!

Don’t visit Japan without it !

The router does require charging a few hours into the day but the wireless charger provided made it easy to charge up. Communication from the seller was quick and great. I highly recommend this company and I would use it again.

We ordered our Pocket wifi from WiFi Buddy online and received an email confirmation immediately. A representative contacted us to confirm our details and provided all the necessary information, including a map of the pick up location. We picked up our pocket wifi from Kansai airport without any fuss or problems. After we finished, we posted it back using the pre-filled Express-post envelope that was included in the package. Overall a very positive experience with great service and value. I would highly recommend.

Japan WifiBuddy was easy to set up and for the most part I had WiFi everywhere I went in Tokyo. It was great for my first trip to Japan. I appreciated that they also included an extra battery. I would definitely use this service again. Highly recommend.

Great - will use again!

It was incredibly handy to have this while traveling in Japan. There’s free WiFi in many places but it’s almost always a pain to use. We used it for maps, transit, finding food, and random browsing and I don’t think we ever hit our limit. We were also in some pretty off the grid areas and the only time we didn’t have service was pretty deep in the mountains (or in a restaurant under the trains). The device did overheat once or twice while searching for a signal.

Used this product throughout Japan had no issues. Worked very well, we even used it in the hotel. Saved us a bunch of money compared to using our cellular data plan. Very easy to return just popped in in the prepaid envelope and dropped it at the post office in the airport They shipped to our hotel so it was ready and waiting when we arrived

We used the Diamond plan for a group of 4 people with heavy data usage and there were no issues whatsoever! The extra battery will be required to recharge the device at least once a day however :)

This was such a great experience and service! Beforehand staff were so helpful with great communication. It was easy to pick up at the airport and my hotel mailed it back for me in the provided envelop. We did use the provided travel charger, as we were out all day using it. Simple to use and both my husband could connect and use it with no issue. Will definitely use their service again and recommend it! Thank you!

Brilliant - zero issues, worked rurally

Excellent for the most part. Had to call once to get the unit to start working again. All I had to do was to reboot, which was quite simple - perhaps this could be put in instruction sheet (I admit I might have missed this). Absolutely made the trip much more enjoyable and efficient. Don’t think I could have done without it!

Wifi Buddy was a big help, only issue is that battery only lasted about 5 ~ 6 hours instead of 10, otherwise was a big help on my business trip.

Always had good coverage and speed was good. Only issue was that the battery life would die pretty quickly. Included was a little battery bank which was a must if you were going to use it for a good portion of the day. Would rent again. Extremely easy pick up and drop off.

Pro Tip: order a wifibuddy! If you've scoured the internet about pro tips, one of them is to order a portable wifi -- that's because not a lot of restaurants/public places with free wifi. From ordering, pick up, and drop off - the process was very easy and convenient. We picked up the wifibuddy @ the aiprort, the package came with a return envelope, extra portable charger, and wires. The downside is the battery life but if you bring an extra portable charger, you're good to go! The connection was great! We traveled to Kyoto, Hakone, and Tokyo. Didn't have an issue at all. Would highly recommend!

I enjoyed using the WiFi Buddy to get around Tokyo! It was fairly easy to find at the airport and the return process was easy as well. The 1 downside is that the battery life doesn't last all day, so always always remember to have a battery to charge it if you're going to be out and about all day.

This worked great and was a great help in many situations on our trip. It lasted very long and the backup battery was a nice touch. In some locations though, where the signal was weak, the device would die very quickly, but almost everywhere else it worked great!
