-very easy to collect -great performance and coverage (4g even when underground in stations at time) -easy to return -long life - comes with a power bank but even without lasted a long time with 4+users Note: we were a group of 5 sharing and stayed entirely in the Tokyo/Osaka/Kyoto atea. Overall would definitely rent again and made our trip much easier.

I can’t get over how convenient this service was. It was easy to pick up the package at the post office at Narita, as the email provided a handy map. It was simple to use (had English instructions) and came with a backup battery so even when it died around dinner time every day, I could just plug it in and it’d last the rest of the night. Our speeds were great, two people power used it full time and it never throttled. At the end of the trip, I just dropped it off at the same post office at Narita before I went through security and that was it! I would highly recommend WifiBuddy, it made my trip so much easier.

The wifi buddy was very helpful and allowed for us to navigate Japan without needing to get a sim, which saved us a lot of money. Although we did have a bit of issues with it turning off on us, I would still use it again next time I go to Japan.

This is the second time I have used Japan WifiBuddy while in Japan. The process is simple from pick up to return. The service is reliable. They provide everything you need, even a back-up battery pack. I will definitely use them again. And I will definitely recommend them to anyone who asks.

We had exactly zero problems with the WiFi buddy. I highly recommend it. It even worked so much better than our hotel's WiFi that we gave up on the hotel's network after the first day. Pick up and return were extremely easy as well. Everything you need comes in a nice little package. Definitely use WiFi Buddy!

The WifiBuddy worked great, I was able to use it at all locations with barely any problems. If i was taking a side trip, once in a while the WifiBuddy internet didn't connect for a minute. The other thing would be using Google Maps, not sure if the problem was with the portable wifi or the app. Sometimes the map would put me far away from where i was and the directions wouldn't work because of that.

Great price for my two weeks in Japan + great connection and speed! Easy to pick up and easy to return! Will definitely recommend to friends and family !

The Diamond Wifibuddy is a must every time we visit Japan, especially Tokyo. We used it mostly to navigate using our phone’s GPS. It’s a life saver when it comes to navigating the subway and train system. We would be lost and confused without wifi connection. Service was all around great and easy pick up and return.

My girlfriend and i used the diamond Service for our 14 day long Trip across Japan. We picked Up the pocket WiFi without any Problems at the airport and used it the whole time without any Networks problems. Getting wifi started and using the wifi was so simple, again everything that was needed was provided with simple easy to follow instructions. Coverage and bandwidth were also great. A pocket WiFi is probably a necessity when traveling to Japan. We’ve used other pocket WiFi services before but they were never great. But the WiFi buddy was perfect. The internet was fast and it lasts the entire day. They also included an external battery pack, which we never used. We went to Kyoto, Nara, and Osaka and we have no issue with service.

Second time I’ve used this on a trip and can’t do it without it!

Buddy worked, just as I expected from prior experiences with Diamond, No worries about limits etc etc. Only hiccups this time is the Powerbank that comes with it did not work as smoothly. The USB cord connection is loose and did not connect well at times.

I rented a WiFi unit from Japan WiFi Buddy for a two week trip to Japan. Couldn’t have been easier- the unit was waiting for us at our hotel, and my wife and I used it more than we thought we would. This was brilliant! So handy and easy to use, great compact size, worked better than the hotel WiFi! Battery lasted for the most of the day if I turned it off during non required times (which wasn’t often) seems like the easiest way to have internet abroad. Easy to collect and return. Definitely recommend and will use for future trips.
