Highly recommend for anyone looking for a pocket wifi.

I had the Diamond WiFi Buddy for 60 days in the Shinjuku area. The average speed was around 60 Mbps though of course there were dips and bursts in the speed. Surprisingly, I was able to play games like Fortnite and Battlefield with some friends in the states. I had a ping of 180 ms so it wasn't _amazing_ but it's more than I expected from a mobile connection. I also played smash bros against domestic players and the latency wasn't much of an issue, pretty impressive. Customer service interactions were helpful and informative, and the "kit" with things like a charging battery, cables, and return instructions was really simple to work with.

I found the Japan Wi-Fi buddy was very useful while we traveled around Japan.

We recently spent two weeks in Japan using the Diamond WifiBuddy option. The device was great, with the only complaint being that occasionally it needed to be turned on again for some reason. The extra power came in handy for both the wifi and our other devices :)

I rented it to use by myself and the connection was good and the battery lasted all day! I'm a quite light user but there were days I had to make skype calls and I never had any problems. Pick up and return was also very simple. Overall a great experience especially as the price is lower than other wifi rentals I checked.

My 29 days in Japan was made easier with the Diamond WifiBuddy. It arrived at my hotel on time and had everything in the package I needed for a long trip. The Wifi was reliable, strong and fast. It worked with all my apps and made using the Japan transport system easier. Returning the Wifi was a simple process. I'd recommend Japan WifiBuddy for any trip to Japan.

I was in Japan for 12 days and this service was amazing for me. I did not want to tie myself to public internet connection and hotels so i decided to rent this device. No connection issues, enough battery life with powerbank. Everything was smooth. I would recommend everybody who want to visit Japan.

For those of you wondering if the Diamond Wifi Buddy is worth the extra expense, let me just say: YES! Having unlimited data can give you a peace of mind if you especially have to Facetime, Kakao, Line, etc. anyone anywhere. I also played some Switch online (Splatoon 2) while relaxing and the Diamond Wifi Buddy did a better job than the Wifi at the places I stayed! Watching Youtube on my train ride to Hokkaido was also smooth and of excellent quality! Trust me, you will not regret going Diamond. I only paid about $60 for an 8 day-ish trip. And I paid only $90 for a previous 21 day trip.

Thanks for letting us use your wifiBuddy device. It was extremely useful for the short stay my mother had in Japan to stay connected at all times with her family members abroad. Highly recommend your service. To get the device and to return was very efficient.

Having our Japan Wifi-Buddy was a super crucial addition to our recent trip throughout Japan. Delivery/return was easy. For the most part, service was smooth and fast! My only complaint is that the battery died more often than I would've liked, but as long as your bring the external chargers and keep those charged up, you should be okay. Would definitely recommend!

The battery could have been lasting longer. Once the unit ran out of battery it would take a while to charge and reconnect. Unit also got pretty warm. But overall everything worked as promised.

This thing was a life safer. A high speed data connection is absolutely necessary if you are in a foreign country you are not familiar with and where you don't speak the language.

I booked the Diamond Package for 9 days for my trip in Japan and i have to say, without it me and my friends would have been lost most of the time. Being able to check the train plans whenever we want or translating something with the Google Translate Camera app is a necessity if you don't speak Japanese. I can only recommend this for anyone that wants to take a trip. I know this sounds like a fake review, but the wifi hotspot is actually perfect.

Would rent again anytime. Coverage was flawless.

I was so pleased with the Wifi Buddy while I was on holidays in Japan. The device was waiting for me at my hotel which was very handy and helpful. There were clear instructions and I was connected to the device within moments. There was NOTHING difficult about the device at all. I had continuous phone data during my whole trip in Japan. There were two of us continuously connected to the buddy, often using social media apps and playing Pokemon Go, so we were using the data quite a lot. We had our own portable 'brick' battery backup and we were able to charge the buddy on the go. We never had to recharge the buddy battery more than once per day, so it lasted really really well. It was so great and definitely recommend this product to any visiting traveller!!

The entire process was so easy to organise from Australia. It was at our hotel when we arrived with clear instructions. So easy to return at the end of our trip. Will use again and recommend to others. Thanks

Connectivity was great when the wifibuddy wasn't dead. Usually the battery would only last about half the day and carrying the extra battery charger around along with the USB-C cable in a pocket got tedious quickly.

when you are traveling, there are so many unknowns. connecting to the internet shouldn’t be one of them. this company makes it so painfully easy that if you are wavering on deciding which company to pick or if you need it at all, rest assured that this is the correct and best option for accessing the internet while traveling in Japan.

Got it sent to our hotel. Extremely easy to use. Huge help in a country where google maps are not available offline.
