Cannot rate the whole experience with JapanWiFiBuddy highly enough. Service, process, the device and network connection all outstanding. Would use again without hesitation.

Could not be happier than going with my choice of the Diamond WifiBuddy from JapanWifiBuddy.com. The whole process was simple and worked perfectly. The support team started by making sure all of my information was correct to ensure a no-hassle delivery pickup at the Narita Airport. I got email tracking confirmation when it was shipped. The instructions they provide for pickup including a map made it a breeze. The package came with a portable charger and carrying case and pre-filled out return envelope. We had excellent coverage all throughout Japan on our 16 day trip from Tokyo, to Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Mt Fuji.There was never a hiccup in service and it even beat out the hotel wifi most of the time plus having a secure wifi connection on nights I had to work made it all the better. Cannot recommend JapanWifiBuddy enough!

I recently went to Japan for the first time, and my main worry was not having internet to give me directions, so I got the diamond budy and to tell you the truth it never faltered once, the extra battery came in really handy when we had long days and the USB charger saved us once we realised our adapters Didn’t work, overall the service was amazing, would absolutely recommend

Having fast reliable WIFI made travelling so much easier. With just a vague plan, you can go and make adjustments on the fly when you have internet access when you need it. The only time I lost service was in long train tunnels. Easy to pick up and return, this is a no brainer for my next Japan trip.

Unbelievable convenience, price, reception, battery life and communication. I will be recommending every single person I know to use this product who visits Japan!!

The process to order, receive, and return the wifi unit was so easy. We brought our own portable charger, but it was wonderful that they supply you with one for the unit as well. It lasted most of the day, but we would have to charge it around 7 if we were going out to dinner. The service never dropped out, it was incredibly helpful for when we got lost, had to quickly find the right train, etc. A life saver. Much cheaper than using international roaming on our phones. We didn’t use it heavily so we didn’t even use half of the included data. I will definitely use this service the next time I’m in Japan

Thanks so much. Everything was very easy, from ordering online, picking up at the airport, using the device, and sending it back. I also appreciated being confident that if there was any problem or question, I could speak to someone in English. WifiBuddy was a perfect solution for two of us travelling together with multiple devices and it worked like a charm. The range of the WifiBuddy was also great - extending over our two rooms or even from the hallway when our rooms were farther apart in one house! I hope I can find such dependable service in other countries when I travel! Thanks for setting the bar.

This was the fourth time I rented a pocket WiFi from Japan WifiBuddy and I never ever had anything going wrong. The service is absolutely amazing! I would never try any other rental company and my advice to anyone who reads this in search of the right rental company is: Don’t look any further, you just found the best.

Ordering was easy and the WiFi package was waiting for me at our hotel when we arrived. Setting up was simplicity itself and never lost its signal over the 12 days I was there. I can't recommend Japan WiFi buddy highly enough

Encountered no problems with our recent hire for a 3-week trip in Hokkaido. From downtown Sapporo to various (not too remote) mountain summits, the device didn't miss a beat. Picking up the unit at CTS was quick and simple, and set-up worked pretty much as explained on the enclosed instruction card. Only caveat would be that the unit didn't last a full day on some days, so had to recharge every night, but that wasn't a hardship. Would use again; completely satisfied.

This is my 3rd time using Japan WIFI buddy services and I absolutely loved it! The process is simple! They send it to you for your arrival and provide a mailing envelope for return. Will be using again next year!

Wifi Buddy was great to have for our 12 days in Japan. it was there at my hotel when I arrived and i just posted it at the airport when I left. Didnt have to worry about finding Wifi when we were out and about. Very convenient and easy to use.

Picked up item at Narita and returned it there before departure. Device lasted about 7 hrs before requiring backup battery but worked flawlessly.

This was a super smooth experience - easy to reserve, easy to pick up and quickly use the physical device, extra battery pack included in the package (which was necessary in my experience as the device would die by about mid-afternoon), and the best part for me was being able to just mail the device back instead of physically bringing it to a particular location (as I left from a different airport than I arrived at). Definitely recommended!

The WifiBuddy made our trip to Japan incredibly smooth. Having constant wifi access is extremely helpful in Japan as it can be challenging to navigate the streets. The unit worked flawlessly and pick-up at the airport was a breeze. At the end of our trip, we just dropped the unit in a prepayed envelope and left if with our hotel front desk. Couldn't have been easier. I highly recommend Japan WifiBuddy.

We had a group of 8 that shared a Wi-Fi buddy for 3 weeks. It performed flawlessly, no matter where we went in Japan we had a good Wi-Fi connection. It had better speed than most of the hotel wifi so that we ended up never even using the hotel systems. So long as your friend were in adjacent rooms they got a good signal. Highly recommended for your Japan trip.

This is a definite must! I'll admit I was hesitant at first because of the price, but it was SO WORTH IT! Having access to google maps when exploring the country (especially navigating Tokyo's train system-like maze) set my mind at ease. It was definitely convenient to have. The pick up was simple, as well as the return. 10/10 would rent this product again when I go back to Japan next year!

Worked great. No issues. Battery runs out quicker than expected, but luckily an external battery is supplied for charging.

Unlimited data in Japan could not have been a better idea! I shared the WifiBuddy with one other person and the battery lasted a little more than half a day. It charges quickly and the signal was excellent.

Easy & convenient rental/return process. Good/stable connection, reasonable pricing.

Would be nice if it worked in Busan Korea too as most of the cruise ships go there as well, bit I understand it's a different country and different networks. I noted it was more available, more reliable and a lot faster than the ships wifi

Diamond WiFi Buddy will be my only choice everytime I visit Japan, had an amazing experience with it. Only lost service for about 5 minutes when I used it over the course of 8 days (14 Hours average usage per day)
