EASY
The wifibuddy was really easy to set up and use. The charge probably lasted half a day and then I would use the power bank to power it for the 2nd half the day. The only trouble I had was finding the location to pick it up, but if you ask around you can find it better. Would definitely recommend them and I would use them again when I go visit Japan again.

Staying connected 24/7
Extremely happy I went with japanwifibuddy for my pocket wifi needs. They were very quick to respond with any questions I had. Pick up and drop off was simple. I had no issues with the pocket wifi. Highly recommend and will use again next time we're in Japan!

Great Reliable Device

Would use again
They helped me contact the hotel to see if they would accept the wifi package. No problems during my 10 day usage. Sending it back was painless because there are post office boxes everywhere.

Awesome customer service! Would rent again.
Great customer service throughout the whole process. Rikako and Tre always answered my questions quickly either through email or messenger. I researched many other companies and so glad I went with JapanWifiBuddy. Best price for great coverage considering we were able to tether multiple devices. I went all over Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, & Nara and always had decent coverage. Smooth pick up and drop off device at the airport. I would definitely rent again on my next trip to Japan.

  • Requires a SIM Unlocked device with esim capability. If your device is locked, please contact your carrier to unlock it.
  • We include thorough instructions, via email, through our website and with customer service.
  • These are data-only SIM Cards. Carrier-based voice calls and text messaging are NOT supported. However, data-based messaging and telephony solutions such as Skype, Facetime, Whatsapp, Line etc. are supported.
  • To avoid provider validation complications, in some cases when users order far ahead of their actual trip, we will send a confirmation email, with a separate QR code later on, closer to the departure date.
